Job Summary
- The Medical Assistant in the Clinic is accountable for performing duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices and competency.
- Position is a float position providing support at the Carlson Street Clinic.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate’s degree or diploma required upon hire.
- Six or more years in a healthcare setting and/or Medical Assisting
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
- Must be licensed through one of the following upon hire:
- National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
- National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT).
- National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association.
Work Schedule
- Clinic hours: 8:00am-5:00pm; 72 hours every 2 weeks
