Job Summary

The Long-Term Care Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing and staff onboarding operations within the facility. This position focuses on ensuring high-quality patient care through effective management of nursing staff, including onboarding and training of CNAs, LPNs, and RNs. The Nurse Manager will develop and implement educational programs to enhance staff competencies while monitoring quality metrics and implementing improvement strategies. This role also involves providing floor coverage to support the nursing team and assist the Director of Nursing in administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for team development, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care to residents.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (associate’s or bachelor’s) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role required.
  • Long-Term Care experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Upon hire
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, typically 8:00am-5:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks
    • with some weekend and evenings
