Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

  • The Registered Nurse in the Clinic is accountable for providing high quality professional care in their scope of practice to patients and families under the supervision of a provider.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Clinic experience preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Upon hire
    • Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Within 30 days of hire
    • Basic Life Support
  • Within six months of hire (or first available course)
    • If working in In-reach or Internal Medicine Clinic where stress tests are performed:
      • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • If working in Memory Care Clinic
      • Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)
  • Within six months of hire (or first available course) if working in Occupational Medicine Clinic
    • Federal Drug Screens (Escreen and Profile drug tests, to independently administer to patients)
    • Breath Alcohol Tests (to independently administer to patients)
    • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (COAHC, audiology)
    • National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (pulmonary function tests)
       

Work Schedule

  • Day Shifts: 4- 8 hour shifts per week; 64 hours every 2 weeks
