Credit Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our financial services team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating credit data and financial statements of individuals or companies primarily for agricultural and commercial loans to determine the risk involved in lending money or extending credit. You will utilize your strong financial acumen and analytical skills to support decision-making processes related to loan origination, portfolio management, and risk assessment.
Responsibilities

• Analyze credit information and conduct credit investigations.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions for use by loan officers and loan committees.
• Perform financial modeling and cash flow analysis to forecast future financial performance.
• Ability to use financial software for the analysis and ability to learn new programs.
• Collect and analyze data related to equity research, underwriting, and risk analysis.
• Prepare detailed financial reports that summarize findings and support recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including risk analysis, forecasting, and financial report writing.
• Experience with loan processing, mortgage servicing, and fraud prevention/detection is preferred.
• Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations accurately.
• Familiarity with portfolio management strategies and cash flow analysis techniques.
• Strong communication skills for effective negotiation and report presentation.
