The Design Drafter is responsible for assisting Architects, Project Designers, Sales, Estimating, Project Management and Field Operations in creating presentation drawings, design drawings, construction drawings, shop/fabrication drawings, and project documents. Design Drafter will work from sketches, models, and written and verbal information supplied by sales personnel, designers, and engineers, to determine the most appropriate views, details, and supplementary information needed to complete projects.

Position involves sitting/standing at a computer for extended periods of time and routinely standing and walking. Employee must be able to communicate effectively in a typical office environment with a standard level of office noise, as well as during job site visits with potentially higher noise levels.
Position occasionally requires visits to construction jobsites in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures. Exposure to dirt, dust, and other materials is routine and may require protective clothing and respirators. In addition, employee must be able to move around prospective or current project sites. This includes high structures and/or scaffolds, climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, walking long distances, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
