Action Sports - Service Writer Position

Action Sports is looking to add a Service Writer to its rapidly growing business. We are a family owned and operated business in Southwest Minnesota and have served the area for 30 plus years 

Responsibilities 

  • Greet customers and determine needs and describe instructions on work orders for technician. 

  • Schedule service with customers and distribute work for technicians 

  • Works with manufacturers on warranty approvals for covered repairs 

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively 

  • Schedule, coordinate and follow-up on sublet repairs 

  • Communicate with the customer during repairs and coordinate customer pick-ups or deliveries 

  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies 

  • Ability to work Saturdays 

Requirements 

  • Experience as a Service Writer or similar role in a power sports or automotive setting. 

  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively. 

  • Knowledge of automotive systems, including brakes, suspensions, & shocks 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with mechanics & technicians to ensure accurate service delivery.  

Qualifications 

  • Must have sustained experience at previous employer 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license  

  • Must excel at interacting with customer via phone, text, email, and in person. 

  • Must have a high level of self-motivation and organization.

  • 8:00 – 5:30 work day 

  • 8:00 – 2:00 Saturday
