In order to practice social distancing and follow the recommendations of the CDC, we will be offering March's trivia completely ONLINE. Through joining an online platform for FREE, you can join the trivia event from your mobile or Internet-enabled devices - from the comfort of your own home!
Just like March's trivia, Virtual Trivia will allow 100 participants (or devices) total to play, so we are limiting team sizes to 5 people (devices) per team. If you have multiple people wanting to play in your household, please use only one device to allow others to participate. Our virtual platform does not have a messaging feature available for teams to discuss answers. It will guide players through the questions individually and use the most common answer amongst the team to determine what the team's final answer is. In order to encourage social distancing, teams can choose to Zoom, Skype, Facetime or conference call each other to correlate answers. All participants will be answering the same questions at the same time. Questions will be controlled by the host.
Teams must be signed up by Wednesday, April 15th at 5:00pm. We have room for 20 teams (each with a maximum of 5 devices allowed). To sign up your team, please go to https://forms.gle/krkRGSwPXgpqbMJNA
If you sign up a team and can no longer participate, please let us know so we can take your team name off of the list.
We encourage you to log on to the platform from your mobile device at least 10 minutes prior to the set start time. This will allow you to add your name and select which team you are competing with. A timer will begin 1 hour prior to trivia beginning. Each question will allow 1 minute of answer time. Your mobile device will take you through the questions and directions as the rounds go by. There will be 50 questions total and there will be a 5 minute break in between each round (every 10 questions).
For virtual trivia, only the first place winning team will receive a prize. The second and third place teams will get bragging rights!
As the date comes closer, we will continue to announce updates to our event, including how it will work. Follow this event to stay up to date on new information!
