Job Summary

• The Chaplain is accountable for providing spiritual counsel, guidance and pastoral care for patients, families and/or staff for the Avera Marshall Region.

Education and/or Experience

• Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Pastoral Care or a related field required.
• Minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required.
• Knowledge of the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care preferred.
• One or more years of pastoral care within a healthcare organization preferred.
• One or more years in Hospice ministry preferred.

License/Certification/Registration

• Preferred license/certification/registration:
  • Certification in National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or
  • Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or
  • Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC)

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $21.50 - $32.50 per hour
