Manager - Special Investigations Unit

North Star Mutual Insurance Company seeks an individual to lead investigations into external and internal suspected misrepresentations. This person will also provide supervision, guidance and mentorship to SIU personnel. This is an in-office position in Cottonwood, MN.
 
Applicants must have strong leadership skills and the ability to provide training, direction, oversight and assistance to staff. Additionally, this person must be a self-starter with excellent investigation, communication, organization and documentation skills.
 
A representative of the company needs to have good public relations skills and the ability to relay concepts and processes to individuals and groups.
 
Preference for this position will be given to those with investigative experience and knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and legal procedures. The duties may include physically demanding activities and periodic overnight travel.

Bachelor’s degree or related work experience preferred. Previous insurance-related background would be helpful, but is not required.

While a variety of factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skillset, level of education and/or experience will be taken into consideration, it is anticipated this position will start at $105,000 per year. This role may be eligible for a merit increase annually and is eligible for our profit-sharing bonus plan.  
 
Starting Range $105,000 to $125,000 annually.
