Assistant Underwriter - Personal Lines

North Star Mutual Insurance Company is looking for an individual to underwrite applications, renewals, and change request endorsements according to company guidelines with assistance from underwriters.
 
Individuals that have solid decision-making skills, interact well with others, possess strong written and verbal communication, are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and have the ability to learn a variety of internal computer systems are encouraged to apply.
 
Bachelor’s degree in business, communication or a related field or related work equivalent is preferred.
 
This is a full-time in-office position.
 
While a variety of factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skillset, level of education and/or experience will be taken into consideration, it is anticipated this position will start at $25.50 per hour. This role may be eligible for a merit increase at the 6-month mark and then annually thereafter and is eligible for our profit-sharing bonus plan.  
 
Starting Range $25.50 to $27.50 per hour.
