Truck Services Technician - 1st Shift

Dayshift position:  M-F 6:00am - 3:00pm; will be scheduled two weekends a month as needed to check trailer/truck temps.
This position is responsible for performing duties and operation of the wash bay for company owned and common carrier fleets and external customers.
Conducts visual inspections of equipment (Trailers Reefers and Tractors) for damage on inbound and outbound traffic.
Washes Schwan's and walk-in customer's equipment as requested. 
Monitors wash bay mixing equipment washing Ingredients ensuring no damage is caused to vehicles. 
Degreases engines or any parts that require cleaning before a haul; properly cleans all trailers inside before loading properly washes all equipment as recorded on work orders. 
Assists customers with processes and procedures within the garage and wash bay. 
Troubleshoots fuel island malfunctions and maintains the fuel island to include replacing filters hoses nozzles as needed. 
Performs all duties in compliance with State Federal and Company regulations policies and procedures (including safety). Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Years of Related Experience: Less than one year Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to communicate well and show positive interpersonal skills Safety: Will comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company Local State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Valid Drivers License is required CDL preferred but not required.
