Sr Inventory & Fulfillment Planner

We are hiring a Senior Inventory & Fulfillment Planner at our corporate offices in Marshall, MN. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all products sold are properly deployed from the source of production to the point of customer sale to fulfill service objectives while minimizing costs in multiple locations. The Sr. Inventory & Fulfillment Planner is the Subject Matter Expert regarding driving service and financial objectives through system utilization processes and reporting capabilities for maximum efficiency.

  • Actively involved cross functionally with Demand Planning, Customer Service, FSQ, Warehousing, Transportation, and Supply Planning, this position will develop and execute inventory strategies to support fill rate goals and inventory efficiencies.

  • Collaborates with business partners to best utilize storage to minimize costs and increase profitability.

  • Creates purchase orders and stock transfer orders utilizing ERP System within guidelines to maximize profitability. Establishes best methods in ERP System & overall processes including data integrity, reliable results, and consistent compliance to ensure desired inventory levels and fill rate goals are achieved in all Depots, DC’s, RDC’s and 3PL’s.

  • Utilizes reporting on daily/weekly basis to maintain system to support and drive optimal inventory levels and to take corrective actions where possible.

  • Develops and implements replenishment models & timelines such as seasonality pre-builds, new launches, promotions, and existing items.

  • Performs analysis and reviews of min/max inventory levels throughout the distribution network, increase / decrease as necessary to support forecasts, service and financial objectives.

  • Reviews aging inventory on regular basis to minimize obsolete or excess inventory creates and monitors action plans to minimize inventory liability including follow up on hold and blocked Inventory for disposition as well as inventory rebalancing.

  • Recommends product discontinuation to Demand Planning teams on slow moving SKU’s. Presents results and action plans broadly to both internal and external departments and makes recommendations for process improvements.

  • Maintains & provides Supplier Schedules to Co-pack partners on a weekly basis.

  • Leads departmental projects and trains Inventory & Fulfillment Planners



Years of Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Education: BA/BS in Supply Chain Operations Mathematics Finance Statistics or similar areas.

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • In-depth knowledge of multiple areas of the supply chain, logistics management, inventory/demand planning operations, distribution, transportation, and procurement.

    • Advanced mathematical skills with strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel- vlookup/Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, and Access) and with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDA, BOBJ, Webi, etc.).

    • Independent worker and analytical thinker with the ability to lead and do data analysis to resolve complex problems.

    • Superior attention to detail and a high need for accuracy.

    • Superior communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).

    • Able to travel up to 10% of the time and maintain expected performance levels.
