Position Responsibilities


The Equipment Finance Loss Mitigation Specialist position will function as the primary contact for customer concerns regarding loan delinquency issues. The candidate will handle all aspects of collections from early stage to late stage and repossession/remarketing. The best candidates will be self-motivated, team-oriented and eager to be a part of a rapidly growing business.


Key Tasks


  • Answer all customer communications in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
  • Contact and collect on past due accounts and arrange for timely payments
  • Draft modifications, settlement agreements and stipulations
  • Coordinate inter-departmental responsibilities to ensure a timely customer response
  • Process customer complaints, inquiries, authorizations, requests, and delivery follow up
  • Process research and correspondence in relation to customer disputes and collection problem inquiries
  • Enlist efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly delinquency notices and reports

Education and Qualifications


  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a high-volume equipment finance collections environment
  • Repossession and Remarketing experience a plus
  • Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
  • Must be efficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred if no prior related work experience
