Job Description
Salary and Terms:  Part-time, fixed-term position – 75% FTE. Salary placement is based on experience. 
Appointment Date:  July 1, 2019 or a date to be negotiated

Position Description:  The Head Coach will be responsible for the administration of all phases of an NCAA Division II women’s tennis program. Responsibilities include recruiting quality student athletes, organizing and training student athletes for successful competition and monitoring and supporting the academic success of the student athletes. Other head coaching duties include planning and conducting pre- and post-season workouts, preparing and managing budgets, fundraising activities and records, scheduling, and developing and maintaining alumni relations. The position will assist with ticket operations within the athletics department. Potential other athletic administrative responsibilities to be assigned may include game management, marketing, advertising, special events, promotions, and teaching responsibilites based on the candidate’s degree, prior teaching experience and area of expertise.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Collegiate, high school, and/or professional tennis experience required.
  • Preference given to candidates with upper Midwest collegiate recruiting experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA policies and regulations required.
  • Fundraising, special events and game management experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective human relations skills required.
  • Experience with computers and their applications is required.
