Position:   Executive Director for Enrollment Management and Student Success
Salary and Terms:  Full time position. Salary placement is based on an evaluation of education and experience.  (MnSCU Administrator Range 7)
Appointment Date:  October 1, 2019 or date to be negotiated

Position Description:  The Executive Director for Enrollment Management and Student Success plays a critical role in developing, facilitating, implementing, communicating, and evaluating the University’s Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. In addition to focusing on the recruitment of new students, the plan will also include developing and implementing an effective retention and student success program. The Executive Director provides dynamic, strategic leadership, management, and supervision for the effective operation and management of the following areas: Admission, Financial aid, International Student Services, and Student Success. The Executive Director advises the Provost on all enrollment matters, particularly budget, programs, and policy development.

  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education administration, student development, or related area. Doctorate preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education.
  • Experience in enrollment management (recruitment and retention) required.
  • Experience with contemporary recruitment (domestic and international), financial aid, advising, and retention/student success practices very important.
  • Must be analytical, data-informed and results-oriented
  • Strong leadership, communication, marketing, planning, and organizational skills
  • Experience in strategic marketing and communication
  • High energy with a collaborative style, unquestionable integrity, vision, flexibility, creativity, and sense of humor
  • Skilled at hiring, motivating, and developing staff, fostering teamwork and managing change
  • Must have an understanding of the applications of technology, including social media, used in the areas of supervision
  • Understanding of and appreciation for intellectual growth and career preparation within a liberal arts tradition
  • Must have a collaborative style of leadership conducive to working effectively with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs
  • Effectiveness in reviewing, interpreting, and applying Board and University policies and procedure
  • Ability to work within a collective bargaining environment
