Job Description
Salary and Terms:  Probationary, full time position. Salary placement is based on evaluation of experience.  MSUAASF Range C.
 
Appointment Date:  July 1, 2019 or a date to be negotiated

Position Description:  The Director of Professional Educator Services for the School of Education exists to lead and ensure the compliance of assessment, accreditation, field experience placements, and licensure. The director will lead the edTPA and LiveText processes and trainings and serve as the main point of contact. The director will also manage field experience placements, and provide university supervisor and classroom mentoring training. This position is also the lead licensing officer.
 
Qualifications               
  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field with preference given to Doctorate in Education in areas of educational assessment, educational policy, and/or educational administration is required.
  • Licensed or licensable to teach in the State of Minnesota is required.
  • MN Licensing Officer Certification is required at time of hire or to be immediately obtained after hire.
  • Three years of teaching experience in a P-12 school is required.
  • Technology experience with Excel and databases is required.
  • edTPA trained/certified is preferred.
  • LiveText (Watermark product) experience is preferred for edTPA support.
  • Experience with ISRS is preferred.
  • Higher Education experience in teaching, administration, and/or assessment preferred.
  • Experience in supervision of field experiences is preferred.
  • Experience with Title II reporting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, consensus building, and achieving mutual goals with colleagues are preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective human relations skills required.
