DESCRIPTION:Join the Marshall Area Chamber Women's Connect group \n\nThursday March 10th from 12-1pm  \n\n-----------------------\n\nProfessor Julie Walker\n\n\n\nCommunication: Connecting Comfortably as Women in the Workplace\n\nFrom emails to Zoom calls\, we are asked to become masters of many types of communication in the workplace.\n\nBeyond the best practices for any particular channel\, we are impacted by communication expectations for women and nonbinary people as compared to men in our culture.\n\nWhen we coupled all these factors with COVID's impact on in-person workplaces shifting online\, we're all facing new environments and we could use some help.\n\nCome chat with Julie Walker to get a different perspective on how we can approach communicating with others in the workplace.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJulie Walker (she/her/Mx.) is a professor of Communication Studies and the assistant director of the speech team at Southwest Minnesota State University.
