DESCRIPTION:In December 2023\, the Lyon County Historical Society received a Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grant of $141\,000 towards the implementation of a compact storage system in the basement storage room of the Lyon County Museum\, 301 W Lyon St\, Marshall. A portion of funds received from the late Mark Goodenow along with donations from members supported this project. On Thursday\, October 24 from 11:00   2:00 and 5:00   7:00\, there is an open house for the Mark S. Goodenow Collections Storage Room. Get a behind the scenes tour of the storage system and renovated space along with seeing how the collection is organized and stored when not on exhibit.
