Job Description
Do you enjoy building relationships? As a Business Development Manager you will be Accountable for originating and closing volume from OEM branch and direct sales channels, as well as supporting the development and implementation of training and sales strategies aimed at increasing originations for GreatAmerica.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Works cohesively with Director of National accounts to promote and implement manufacturer programs in OEM branch locations and within the national accounts sales channel, which results in additional financing volume for GreatAmerica.
  • Call on existing and new OEM branches to determine business needs and presents GreatAmerica solutions and programs.
  • Prospect in relationships by performing research to identify viable sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a consultative Sales approach utilizing Professional Selling Skills and Miller Heiman techniques.
  • Develop and consistently maintain a territory plan for growth opportunities in both existing and new prospect accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining call and travel expectations to ensure budgeted goals are achieved.
  • Communicate effectively with internal GA team members to ensure successful onboarding of new relationships and the implementation of customized solutions.
  • Ensure delivery of a quality portfolio as measured by volume, delinquency, yield, etc.
  • Is in attendance during business hours with minimal absences per GreatAmerica’s attendance policy. 
  • Attendance includes high travel expectations requiring nights and occasional weekend travel.
  • Live the GreatAmerica principles.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
Education, experience and skills required:
For this position you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. You must possess superior consultative sales approach for originating and closing business. Excellent interpersonal communication and analytical problem solving skills are required. We are seeking an individual who possesses a high degree of business acumen and judgement to make appropriate decisions. This role requires strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.

Our preference is to fill this position in our corporate office of Cedar Rapids, IA or one of our satellite offices which includes: Marshall, MN or Kennesaw, GA. Candidates with strong credentials may have the ability to work from any location in the US.
